Two beds with white linens, a brown padded headboard and a large curtained window in my Sheraton Santos hotel room

Sheraton Santos Hotel Review: Pool, Breakfast and Location

Sheraton Santos Hotel worked well for my overnight stay because it made the ordinary parts of a short trip easy: a spacious room to cool down in, plenty of breakfast choices, an indoor pool and a direct connection to Praiamar Shopping. I could enjoy the hotel for part of the morning, then head out for a walk along the Santos waterfront.

My verdict: I would shortlist it for a short Santos stay that combines sightseeing with time to relax. Its strongest advantage is the combination of hotel facilities, nearby beach gardens and easy access to food and shops. If your priority is being beside the historic-center sights or swimming uninterrupted laps, those are the two tradeoffs I would consider first.

The room, breakfast and pool impressions below come from my earlier stay with travel companions. Current official hotel information was checked on November 4, 2026.

Sheraton Santos Hotel review at a glance

What matters What to expect
Best reason to choose it A comfortable hotel base with a skyway to Praiamar Shopping and the waterfront gardens nearby.
Location tradeoff Plan a separate journey to the historic center; this is not a hotel beside the Coffee Museum.
My room It felt spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning was a welcome relief after walking in the heat.
Breakfast I enjoyed the variety. Confirm whether breakfast is included in your chosen rate.
Pool Indoors; during my visit it felt better suited to relaxing and family swimming than a focused lap session.

Location: convenient for Praiamar and the waterfront

The direct mall connection turned out to be genuinely useful. We returned to Praiamar during our stay for shopping and food, and having those options close by made it easy to leave part of the day unplanned. The skyway is still listed on the hotel’s official site; the Praiamar Shopping website is the place to check current stores, dining and opening information.

Marriott places the hotel two blocks from the beachfront gardens. After checking out, we walked along the waterfront and continued toward Gonzaga. The Santos tourism authority’s beach-gardens guide gives a useful picture of this long coastal green space. You can enjoy a section of it without committing to the entire waterfront.

The historic center is a separate outing. On our first afternoon, we took a car from the hotel area to visit the Coffee Museum and other sights. For a short stay, I would group those visits together, then leave the beachfront and Praiamar for another part of the day. That is a more practical way to use this location than repeatedly crossing town between individual stops.

The room: a comfortable place to escape the heat

We arrived after deciding to walk to the hotel in uncomfortable heat. Getting into the air conditioning was one of the most welcome moments of that afternoon. My room felt spacious and comfortable, which mattered more to me at that point than decorative details.

The featured photograph shows the room from my stay, with two beds and a large window. I would use it as a picture of that particular stay, then check the current room description for the bed setup you actually want to book. A room photograph alone cannot establish the category, view or number of guests included in a rate.

If you are arriving with luggage on a hot day, I would arrange transport to the entrance instead of treating every nearby distance as an invitation to walk. That is the arrival decision I would change from my own trip.

Breakfast: worth leaving time for

Breakfast had plenty of choice and felt like a proper, leisurely hotel meal. I ate with travel companions rather than rushing straight out to the next attraction, and that slower start suited the overnight stay.

I would give it time if breakfast is part of the reason you are choosing this hotel. For a morning with an early departure, however, check the service hours against your actual schedule before paying for a breakfast-inclusive rate.

Marriott’s current dining page confirms that breakfast is available and lists O Lagar Restaurant and the Lobby Bar. Availability does not mean every booking includes it: compare the room-only and breakfast-inclusive conditions for your dates and party.

The indoor pool: better for relaxing than training

I went down after breakfast intending to swim a few proper lengths. In practice, there were families and young children enjoying the water, so I adjusted my expectations and treated it as a relaxed swim before checkout.

That is an important distinction if the pool is a deciding factor. It added something useful to my stay, but my visit did not feel like a dedicated exercise session. For travelers who want to unwind in the water, that may be exactly the right atmosphere.

The hotel still lists an indoor pool on its official facilities page. Check the current hours and any temporary restrictions for your dates if you are building a short stay around using it.

What I would check before booking

  • The full rate: compare the same dates, guest count, bed setup, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms.
  • Time at the hotel: the pool and breakfast mattered because I had a relaxed morning. They may add less value if you will arrive late and leave early.
  • Your sightseeing map: decide whether you want this mall-and-waterfront base or accommodation closer to your main historic-center plans.
  • Arrival transport: use the hotel’s current map pin and confirm your drop-off point. Avoid setting your schedule around an assumed transfer time.

For a one-night trip, I would organize the historic-center outing on arrival day and keep the next morning for breakfast, the pool and a manageable stretch of waterfront. That follows the part of my stay I enjoyed most without turning the hotel into another stop to rush through.

Would I choose Sheraton Santos again?

I would consider it again for the same kind of short stay: some sightseeing, convenient meals and shopping, and enough time to enjoy the hotel. The room, breakfast and relaxed pool visit worked together well. Before booking, I would compare the total rate and location against my plans; the nearby mall and beach gardens are the reasons this particular base makes sense.
